SAGE
In March this year this lovely young dog was picked up DUMPED with a severely broken foot! It was a relatively recent break but had already started to heal.
The vets near the pound assessed and decided that the only two options were amputation OR allowing to heal naturally.
After several 'mistakes' with the bandaging of the break, causing the fractured bone to come through the skin and become infected, long courses of antibiotics due to bone infection - he was finally able to come to us ready for rehoming hopefully.
He is still only a baby - maybe a year old!
The foot has healed but is now deformed and he is learning to use it well. It does still give some discomfort and time will be needed to let all fully settle.
He is nervous initially and has been sheltered whilst recovering and in foster in the North ... he arrived today and we are really hoping someone can offer help for him.
