MEET THE TEAM

This page is currently being created to share the team at Arundawn, aswell as some of our INCREDIBLE 'Unsung heros' too!

New content should be being added as often as we can encourage people to share their photos with us!.

Elaine website photo.jpg
Elaine Barter
Elaine is owner/founder of Arundawn - she's a force of nature who has built an exceptional reputation within the canine community.
She's helped re-home literally thousands of dogs over the decades that she's been running Arundawn.
She's also a fountain of knowledge about dog training, health, diet etc...
If Elaine doesn't know something about dogs then frankly it's probably not worth knowing!
Tracy website photo.jpg
Tracy Hollamby
Tracy has been with Arundawn since 2014.
She manages the website 'back-end'; helps with arranging collections & homechecks; does all kinds of admin and provides general support to Elaine; works at Arundawn events; and has adopted multiple Arundawn dogs - the list goes on!
She's the 'girl Friday' of the Arundawn team.
Amy website photo.jpg
Amy Mackie
Amy has known Elaine for about 30 years & became more involved with Arundawn about 7 years ago. She works full time running a small business development consultancy from home & alongside that she does a wide range of things for Arundawn - including loading applications, home checking, organising fundraising events & sourcing sponsorship.
Her and her husband (Glenn) have fostered between them about 25 Arundawn dogs - ranging from a Mastiff to Jack Russell!
About 3 1/2 years ago they became 'failed fosters' for their Shih Tzu Arthur, who is 10 years young - Amy says that he is the love of their lives!
Julia website phot.jpg
Julia Hanna
Julia has been an Arundawn supporter for 12 years now - she started as a fosterer, and then - as so often happens - became a 'failed fosterer' (which we call a 'success fosterer really)!'.
Julia then started to also do home checks in 2019 - and she became a part of the admin team - doing all sorts for Elaine - from loading & assessing applications, contacting applicants & arranging home-checks, and helping out with anything else that she can.
Julia says 'I still love doing that (home-checking) now & I get a real buzz seeing the dogs settled into their new homes & knowing I’ve been even 'just' partly responsible for it - it's so rewarding!'.
Emma website photo.jpg
Emma Stenning
Emma joined us in Sep 2024.
She keeps our website up to date, does some wider content 'stuff', and she created the 'Art for Arundawn' Facebook group/community.
She also looks to help out with fundraising wherever she can - arranging collaborations with makers/artists/creatives.
She's working on sourcing longer-term support for us currently (see our W.I.P new page for 'supporters') with finding people willing to kindly donate a % of their sales proceeds to Arundawn on an ongoing basis.
Emma is the contact for our dog Sponsorers so if you'd like to sponsor either one of our on-site shelter pack, or a long-term foster dog, then please do reach out to her via enquiries@arundawndogrescue.co.uk

This section will be being updated to showcase some of our absolutely frankly WONDERFUL, SUPERB, AMAZING 'unsung heroes' - without whom we would not be able to do all the good work we do today!
From people driving through the night to collect dogs; to urgently called-upon short-term fosterers; to people helping us run events like stalls and dog shows - we COULD NOT do what we do without the INCREDIBLE network that Elaine has built over the years!

Elaine is an absolute SUPER WOMAN just by herself, but she's also built an INCREDIBLE community around her too - and so please watch this space for some shares to come in here so that we can recognise and thank some of these fabulous individuals as well.....

Our first addition is Jim (James) & Holly Jarrad - they are AWESOME Arundawn supporters!

They have fostered, adopted, fundraised - the list goes on!

Jim has also donated his artistic talents to Arundawn in the past too.

They are pictured here with their talented son Noah - who is training to become a vet.

Look like being amazing to animals runs in the Jarrad family genes!

It's WONDERFUL people like these that help Elaine to make Arundawn the UK-wide success that it is!

Thanks you guys - we really appreciate all that you do...

Next up we have Justine and Kevin - with their beloved Rusty (aka Rusty Roo).

They fostered Rusty from Arundawn and were DELIGHTED to have recently become failed fosterers this August (2025).

Justine is also a member of our 'Art for Arundawn' FB group - and she's kindly been making & selling things for us within that group, and donating much of the proceeds from those sales to Arundawn.

This is what happens when you take an Arundawn dog - you become part of the 'Arundawn family' - it's such a warm, welcoming community and we're happy to have these 3 join us!

Next up is Debbie Harman - who wasn't too keen on us sharing a photo of her (we get it - a lot of us cringe when the camera comes out too!) so she said we could share one of 2 of her gorgeous dogs instead!

Debbie is a bigtime Arundawn supporter - she's adopted dogs from us, and she also regularly takes part in our fundraisers.

She's even been known to win items but then donate them back so that we can make double the proceeds - what a pawsitively awesome human!

Debbie recently won the Emma Butler raffle and we could NOT have been happier - she does so much for us it was more than time that she had something nice for herself!

Thanks for all you do Debbie :)
