PIXIE (real name Destiny)
This lovely young girl is now safely with us at Arundawn.
We know she has had several homes! We know she was shown in lurcher classes, ran in races and when she failed was sold and then eventually DUMPED!!!!
It is always wrong at every level but this dog has been used and abused by people claiming to care about their dogs!!!!!
Utter BS!!!
She is safe now and will be spayed and tear ducts unblocked.
She is very sweet, very affectionate and will be looking for her perfect home soon.
She has tested dog friendly and we understand the injury to her eye has been treated and is healing nicely.
This morning Pixie went for a vet check - the good news is that her limbs are all sound and strong and there is no permanent damage. Her tear ducts are totally blocked in both eyes and this will be resolved hopefully by flushing through when being spayed.
A few photos from Pixie's first walk with us. Nic and her daughter came up and took Oscar and Pixie out for a lovely walk in the freezing fog!!!
She walks beautifully and is a delight. She is only petite but looks after herself and is comforatable around dogs of all sizes.
This update is to demonstrate just how easy it is to change a dogs wellbeing ... the first photo to the others are just 2 weeks apart!
Wormed and in a 'happy' environment and on a high quality raw diet and just look at the changes ... a gleaming coat (not bathed or treated in any way .. just natural), a healthy weight and a changed expression!!!
She will be ready for her forever home very soon!
A rural home, one or more canine companions, freedom to safely run, no cats or small furries. She is a delight!
