Pepper was handed in to us after her owners felt unable to manage her due to some resource guarding issues. She went straight to foster with Nicky, in order to fully assess her needs.

Nicky says:

"Pepper was completely shell-shocked about leaving her family and took some time to come out of her shell. She's a little character and is testing some boundaries, when it comes to doing things she doesn't want to do, but this is improving as she learns to trust me. She went off lead in a secure area for the first time today and was an absolute sweetheart, her recall was great and she loved every person and dog she met! We do need to work on jumping up. She is also getting better with the cats as these were great to chase when she first arrived.

"Pepper has some resource guarding issues which have massively improved while she has been with me but this training will need to continue in her new home. She is great around food and her toys but has issues when she has something she shouldn't have and feels she shouldn't give it up - for this reason she cannot be homed with children and needs a home who has some experience in dealing with and working with this behaviour. She is a delightful little girl who would love a home where she could enjoy doing something like scent work or agility."
