ELMO
PLEASE READ TO THE END CAREFULLY
Elmo is a 6 year old male neutered Yorkshire Terrier. Sadly his owner passed away this year, and circumstances mean he is unable to remain with relatives unfortunately.
Elmo is a very sweet little dog who loves cuddles, playing with his toys, curling up somewhere cosy, and sniffy walks. He has a huge personality in a teeny body.
He does attempt making an escape if given the opportunity, so a secure garden is a must! Also secure facilities when opening front doors etc.
Elmo can be a little reactive around other dogs so ideally we are looking for a home as an only dog, or to be placed with a confident older female who won’t let him get away with bullying. No small furries.
He loves children but again better older children who will give him his own space.
He is fully house trained and knows basic commands, but is a typical Yorkie and can 'choose to ignore' on occassion!
NOW FOR THE MOST IMPORTANT THING! Elmo had surgery on his left hind leg in May 2026 for a luxating patella. He made full recovery but he also needs surgery on his right hind for same issue - the recovery period for this is 6-8 weeks of no jumping on furniture, 2-3 weeks of no walks etc. Thankfully he is currently insured which will cover surgery costs and he will be booked in as soon as a foster OR better still forever home is in place.
Please feel free to contact Elaine to discuss or complete an online application form, thank you. He will be a fabulous addition to a family home.
