Having had several applications for this lovely boy and after several homecheck Wolfie is still looking for his forever home. He is a big lurcher and this really needs to be taken into consideration.

Wolfie arrived on 26th January just a few days after surgery for a broken leg. We found him the perfect place to recuperate with Mairi, Richard and Arundawn lurcher Roo.

Wolfie was suffering from separation anxiety, unused to handling, and needed to be 100% restricted from exercise. Six weeks later he unfortunately needed further surgery to remove the pins in his leg, followed by another 2 weeks of complete rest. We're delighted to say that the second operation was successful. He is now going from strength to strength, doing long walks and racing around with no apparent ongoing issues. As a result he is now much more at ease.

He's now ready to continue his journey in his forever home. He is a big lad, standing 28 inches TTS and weighing 35kg. He is strong on lead, no doubt because of the restriction he has been under and the inability to train him until recently. Early signs on recall training and general obedience are positive - he sits, waits sometimes and just about lies down now. He is a friendly, affectionate and inquisitive dog who is keen to please and very willing to learn, although it takes a little while to build up trust. He is cautious around strangers but loves other dogs, and is good mates with Roo. It may be best for him to be homed with another dog for company; probably not best suited to families with small children given his size.

He needs plenty of exercise, routine, and sensitivity in handling until he builds up his confidence, as well as stimulation. He loves car trips, puzzle games, and watching the world go by through the window. He also loves his walks, but needs a strong and sympathetic hand until his initial burst of enthusiasm dies down!

Please share and consider offering this gorgeous biddable 1 year-old his forever home.
