SYD

This lovely boy has been with us for 6 months now in foster. He was returned to another rescue after being rehomed and being lead reactive!

SYD is 7 yrs old and is a large, neutered male lurcher.

His fosterer says ...

We have had Syd in foster since Nov 2023. He is a very loving dog indeed. It took him a while to show his full personality but it was well worth the wait! He is a very affectionate dog who just wants cuddles and companionship, so be prepared to sacrifice your sofa and gets lots of cuddles. Syd would suit a couple / family that work from home ideally. I don't think he would like being with younger children as they may be just too active for him... though he is great with older children and he does love to play with his toys and interact when playing but not for long periods of time. He is super obedient, good on the lead and good socialising when interacting with other dogs but his pateince wears thin when he meets younger dogs that jump up at him.

Syd has made a great companion for my daughter who is studying for her A levels, he makes a great 'study buddy' and just loves being around his humans.

Syd would definitely not like to be on his own for too long. I think Syd would love another dog as a companion if his human had to leave him for a period of time during the day. Syd is just a a big gentle giant and has all the traits of a greyhound, very lazy, craves companionship, obedient and does not bark unless a cat dares come into the garden! He will greet a stranger as if he has known them all his life! Syd does not like cats entering our garden and will chase them out! As a family of 3, we will be absolutely gutted to see him go, we have all fallen totally in love with him and he deserves to have the best life possible- he's a beautiful boy.

Sadly Kelly and her family were ONLY EVER fosterers for Syd and he really is totally ready to find his forever home now!

If you can help Syd please fill in one of our forms on our website.
