Sully has be relinquished by his owner as they felt that they could not give him the time and attention that he needs. His current owner rescued him from being put up for free on Facebook and has worked with him for several months. However they do not have the space or the time at home to train a big dog who is still very puppyish in ways.
He will investigate everything in the house, is a complete slobber chops and thinks nothing of sprawling across his owner and partner on the sofa looking for belly rubs. He has no respect for personal space and is too intelligent for his own good.
He is still a bit mouthy and jumps on people when he gets excited so this boy needs a family who can work on his manners and give him enough stimulation to release all the energy he has stored up.
He loves his toys and will chew on them for hours but pretty good in the home and has managed to avoid chewing on anything of value so far.
Although quite confident in familiar surroundings he is a nervous boy dealing with new situations - he's a bit scared on meeting new dogs and needs time to warm up but is fine afterwards. Even though he currently lives with a little dog he prefers larger females. He is not that confident around other large males.
He will chase and try to play with cats so no small furries in his new home!
He is scared of the vets and will cower and try to climb into your lap while being examined.
He has spent time with an 8 year old child but is very clumsy and so we are looking for a family with teenagers or older.
He may have a few food allergies (especially to wheat) but does very well on a raw diet which we will want to continue.
All in all, his owner describes him as a real character and a soppy boy, and wishes they had the time and space to work with him, but think there is a better home for him out there.
