Mike arrived with us from a pound in Kent where he was picked up as a stray & went straight to foster with Amy & Glenn. The vet thinks he is about 3 years old. He is a little mixed breed scruffy terrier type dog. Mike is not child or cat tested (initial guess is he would be fine with kids & probably not with cats).

Mike absolutely loves everyone he meets - especially other dogs. He would ideally need a home with at least one other dog as he loves to play but currently can be a little too 'amorous'! He is a little wary of men initially but soon makes friends. He is eating his raw meals well & needs to gain a little weight. Mike enjoys walking lots & is a total pocket rocket & live wire! He will sit, give his paw & lie down for you, especially for a sprat! Mike is great fun & will keep you entertained for hours!

NEEDS WORK ….Mike is not totally house trained although we have only had ‘wee’ accidents, but this is improving all the time and he is booked in for castration. He doesn’t appreciate that personal space is required with dogs or people. He will need someone that is prepared to dedicate some time to basic training. Currently sleeping upstairs but NOT on the bed. He would not cope with being forced to sleep downstairs at the moment as he is anxious.

MIKE does exhibit separation anxiety and this will need work. It also seems he has maybe lived outdoors.

Personally I think it is highly likely that Mike has lived outdoors and is currently stressed indoors. This will settle fairly quickly I think, given the correct time, exercise and stimulation. He is vocal in his needs and definitely needs down time too.

He will be neutered as soon as we can book him in as feel this is going to help overall.

He is coming on in leaps and bounds and showing himself to be a quick learner.  He really will make a fantastic dog for someone who has the time and patience to follow on with the work Amy and Glen have to help him settle in a home.

Please only consider applying for this lovely boy if you can offer an active life with time to train him and a companion. Thank you
