COUCHIE (Cucci)
As many of you know, this little dog arrived 'on 3 legs'!
He had a ruptured cruciate ligament which both vets and kennels apparently failed to notice!
We have now raised all the funds needed for his surgery but he had been experiencing an ongoing gastric problem preventing the surgery from going ahead until resolved - this seems to now be improved so (see first 3 photos below) he's had his pre-surgery groom and is looking all smart, clean and handsome and is now ready for surgery!
We will, of course, update this page once he's had the surgery too......
In the meantime we do now have a lovely local foster arranged to see him through his recovery post surgery...(thank you!)
A little more background on this handsome little chap:
He had been handed in to a vet apparently before being passed to a council pound kennels in the North.
It seems no-one noticed he was on 3 legs and the vets seem to have failed to mention the cruciate!
This was surely a welfare issue as the poor little scrap was left with no pain relief for a week in pound kennels!
We know that he is dog friendly and seems very sweet.
