Bear has been relinquished by his owner due to a change in circumstances where they feel they cannot give him the time and attention he deserves.
Bear is a big, friendly boy who has lived all his life with the same family (from an 8 week old puppy). He lives with a 10 year old female Yorkshire Terrier so is good with smaller dogs. He is not cat friendly. He has lived with rabbits but doesn't like guinea pigs.
He has not lived with children but is used to children visiting (5 and 10yr old family members). He is people friendly but can be a bit excitable and bouncy when people come to visit the home so his new family need to work with him to manage these situations and help him learn to be a bit calmer as he is a big boy.
He is scared of fireworks, whistles and alarms. He pulls a bit on walks but soon settles down. When encountering other dogs on walks, he is cautious and can be a bit defensive around dominant, aggressive large dogs.
He is generally healthy but occasionally can get yeast infections in his ears which are treated with drops;
